London Taxi PR Announces Launch of ‘The Knowledge Campaign’

A new advertising campaign is set to welcome a boost in the number of applicants for the London black cab trade.  The world-renowned taxi test, ‘The Knowledge of London’, will be promoted by London Taxi PR this month with the aim to sign up new applicants.  Each applicant must pass the test to become a licensed London black cab driver.

Campaign to Reflect Diversity

Terry Gibbins, taxi driver and photographer, provides all images used in the campaign.  Terry, who is passionate and proud of his work, photographed taxi drivers for several months to help promote the campaign and highlight ‘The Knowledge’ as open to all, regardless of gender, religion and ethnicity.  London Taxi PR is teaming up with 8 Outdoor who will provide 29 large digital billboards across Central London to promote the campaign on a wider scale.  The campaign will feature taxi drivers from a diverse background to reflect the trade of today with the headline “I did it, so can you”.

“The aim of the campaign is to encourage more people to sign up to ‘The Knowledge’ and become a London taxi driver.”

London Taxi PR Encourage Surge in Applicants

A spokesperson from London Taxi PR, said: “The aim of the campaign is to encourage more people to sign up to ‘The Knowledge’ and become a London taxi driver.  We believe the job offers great opportunities for all who are prepared to put in the work and meet the high standards required of the profession to be a licensed London taxi driver.”  Fellow cabbies have funded all of London Taxi PR’s campaigns and publicity so far with many signing up to donate to the cause on an on-going monthly basis.  This generosity and commitment highlights how passionate the drivers are about their industry.
