VW Odyssey Kicks Off at Wembley

October 17, 2005

Superb driver comfort. Up to eight fare-paying passengers. Literally bags of luggage space. Little wonder that advance orders are flooding in for Cab Direct’s latest multi-purpose vehicle.

The new Volkswagen Odyssey, based on the tried and tested Transporter, comes with a wide range of options to suit your taste, pocket and mix of business.

Speaking at the Odyssey’s official launch at the Private Hire & Taxi Show in Wembley Arena, Sales General Manager Peter Facenna commented:  “The Transporter’s always been one of our most popular MPVs.

“Based on our experience over the past five years we’ve now designed the Odyssey range to meet the many different needs expressed by our customers throughout the UK.”

The Odyssey really does give you the opportunity to build your ideal vehicle. For a start, there’s a choice of highly reliable 85, 104 or 130PS TDI diesel engines. Then you can opt for manual or automatic transmission.

You can also specify the number of seats required and include full side wheelchair access, if required. A spacious and hard-wearing vehicle, the long wheelbase option offers even greater luggage space – perfect for hotel and airport work – as well as the option of side or rear wheelchair access.

In addition air conditioning, parking sensors, cruise control, satellite navigation and removable seats for even greater flexibility can all be specified as you put together you own personal Odyssey.

On top of all this, Cab Direct customers can choose between the workman Premier finish or top-of-the-range Elite trim level, giving you the ability to pitch your vehicle to suit your client base.

“We’re in the business of responding to customer needs, so it’s only natural that we should continue to grow our product range as well as offering a wider range of options within each model,” says Peter Facenna.

“The fact we’ve got already taken orders from England, Scotland and Ireland is, of course, an added bonus.”
