Thumbs up for E7 in London

London E7

July 15, 2007

A new face joined this year’s War Disabled charity annual outing to Worthing, on the Sussex coast, in the form of Cab Direct’s new model Peugeot E7. Parked up alongside the TXs and Metrocabs at South Holmwood it didn’t look out of place but it soon showed that there was more to the E7 than meets the eye when it reached Worthing.

When it came to the time for the Veterans to be taken down to the seafront, there was Lil in her wheelchair being effortlessly taken on board the E7 with its EasyGlide underfloor ramp slipped into position. No need go to the boot and fight with the usual TX-type ramps!

Lil, who served in the Auxiliary Territorial Service, gave the thumbs up as cab driver Graham Hill whisked her into the taxi and the lightweight EasyGlide ramp slid back in place in no time at all.  She was pleased it was so quick and easy as this meant more time on the front!
