At Cab Direct we like to support the taxi trade by giving drivers the best deals on taxis for sale, but we also like to give back to our customers with competitions and prize draws ran throughout the year. Although this has been a tough year for everyone we were delighted to be able to re-launch our prize draw in September. It was really simple to enter, all you had to do was fill in a form online at cabdirect.com before the prize draw was closed on the 30th November.

Last week were pleased to call our autumn winner to let him know that he’d won £500 in the draw. Mr Hussain Ali from Newcastle upon Tyne was the lucky cabbie selected and he was delighted to receive the call from Cab Direct. The current restrictions have hit the taxi trade hard so it couldn’t have come at a better time for Mr Ali. He said “The call came just at the right time with this current pandemic when all taxi drivers are really struggling. I feel so lucky and am excited to receive my winnings.” When we told him we would publish his details online he remarked, “Maybe you’ll make me famous!” He went on to explain that his insurance renewal and MOT were due so his winnings will go toward those. Making the Call
Our Sales Executive Helen Blair was delighted to call Mr Ali with such positive news. Sales Executive, Helen Blair is used to speaking to cabbies day in day out to help with sales enquiries but doesn’t normally get the chance to make a call like this. She told us “I love making calls like this – because I’d spoken to Mr Ali before and he remembered entering the draw he knew it wasn’t a hoax and was absolutely thrilled!”
