New Estate Makes Big Impression

With its spacious interior and an impressive 2.0 HDi engine achieving over fifty miles to the gallon, Peugeot’s new Estate is rapidly building a big reputation.

As far as the taxi industry is concerned, this deceptively spacious vehicle is proving superb value as an affordable option that’s big on vital statistics. The wide body, generous headroom and huge luggage capacity are obvious benefits yet the drive is as comfortable and responsive as any saloon.

Ron Parker of Streamline Maidstone Ltd has recently taken delivery of three brand new Estate vehicles from Cab Direct and has already been impressed. With a large fleet of mainly Peugeot 406 vehicles, as well as Ford and Vauxhall models, he was interested to see what the new Estate could offer.

“I originally classed it alongside a Focus or an Astra,” said Ron. “But the vehicle is very spacious inside, with considerable boot space to match. Indeed, the Estate has more carrying capacity than the boot of a Skoda Octavia!”

Streamline have also developed their own contract hire scheme for drivers, as a way of supporting continued growth and are looking forward to the future with considerable confidence.

Ron Parker concludes: “Having brand new vehicles raises the profile of our company and both my drivers and their customers have commented on many features of the Peugeot Estate.”

Tony Rodo of Three Castles in Deal, Kent, is equally enthusiastic about his new Peugeot Estate.

“Despite my initial impression of it being a smaller vehicle,” said Tony, “it easily proves itself as being of the same size as a standard executive estate.”

Three Castles cater for a range of customers, including a contract for supplying school meals, so ensuring adequate space is always an important factor.

“I’ve been really pleased with how the Peugeot Estate meets the challenge,” said Tony. “Our passengers tend to ask for estate vehicles due to their increased capacity and I’m glad to say that the Peugeot Estate is going down extremely well.”
