We have spent the summer travelling around the UK promoting our Mercedes-Benz Vito Taxi. You may have seen us in Edinburgh, Manchester, Birmingham or Liverpool or at our headquarters in Glasgow. Earlier this month we were pleased to call our winner to let him know that he’d won £500 in the prize draw after attending our taxi roadshow. Mr Bakht Khan from Manchester was the lucky cabbie selected and he was delighted to receive the call from Cab Direct. He couldn’t believe it at first and said, “I think you’re having me on – I’ll believe it when the money is in the bank.” We hope you enjoy spending it!
Making the Call
Our Area Sales Manager, Iain Graham, was delighted to call Mr Khan with the great news. Iain is used to travelling the UK and loves speaking to taxi drivers about the fabulousVito Taxi but doesn’t often get the chance to make a call like this. He told us “I had spoken to Mr Khan a few times, we first met at the roadshow at the Manchester Powerleague in August and I have since followed up with a few phone calls to see what he thought of Vito Taxi, so it was great to be able to follow up with some good news for him!”
Manchester Taxi Grant
Greater Manchester has secured government funding to help businesses comply with the new emissions rules – and £10.6m* of that money will be reserved for hackney taxi drivers. There is £5,000 available towards upgrading to the Euro 6 complaint Mercedes Vito Taxi so we’re taking another trip to Manchester, this time near the airport. Pop along and visit us at the Airport Pub, Manchester Airport, Ringway Rd, Manchester M22 5WH. We will be set up there on Tuesday 23rd and Wednesday 24th from 10 am till 3 pm. There will be snacks and refreshments and some freebies on offer. Come along and chat with our sales team, take a test drive or take to us about part exchange.
