The new Peugeot E7 SE model has been developed by Cab Direct’s research and development team following extensive consultation with existing E7 owners.
Customers were asked what improvements they would like to see for the market-leading hackney vehicle. The new upgrade SE model comes as a direct response to this feedback and features air conditioning, a calibrated meter, electric step and rear LED lights – all as standard.
However, the feature designed to impact most on the taxi trade was the launch of a unique, patented ramp system, which is sure to revolutionise the industry.
The new Easy-Glide under-floor ramp offers a dramatic leap forward in convenience, simply pulling out from under the passenger floor. The patented integral ramp means that drivers no longer have the hassle of taking ramps from the back of the vehicle and fitting them to the side of the taxi. And of course passengers no longer have to suffer the inconvenience of having to wait for the ramp to be installed before entering the taxi.
Cab Direct Chairman Gerry Facenna is delighted with the positive response to the new E7 SE: “Sandown has been an amazing show for us,” says Gerry. “We have received a record number of orders this year – especially for the new model E7.
“This vehicle has been designed to meet expectations of taxi drivers in the 21st Century and comes after months of listening to our customers, who simply want an excellent, value-for-money vehicle to help them run their business.
“The new Peugeot E7 SE does just that. As well as other added standard features, the new ramp system is by far the fastest method of handling wheelchair-bound or infirm customers. Taxi drivers can simply get on with earning their fares and no longer have to worry about wasting time handling separate ramps.”
