A week before Christmas, in the midst of the madness, we called our winter winner to let them know that they’d won a grand in our most recent taxi prize draw.
“I’m absolutely delighted to be the winner – it’s a great way to end the year and also to kick start 2017.”
Daniel Taylor from Liverpool was the lucky taxi driver to receive the call. After a bit of convincing that it wasn’t a hoax, a delighted Mr Taylor took the rest of the day off to take in the news.
He said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be the winner. I’m still undecided on what I’ll spend the money on but it was a great way to end the year and also to kick start 2017. ”
Making the Call
Cab Direct Marketing Executive, Victoria, finds calling the winner one of the most enjoyable parts of the job.
She commented: “It’s not every day you receive a call to be told that you’ve won a thousand pounds so it usually takes a bit of assurance before the winner accepts the news. It’s all part of the fun and once I’ve persuaded them that it’s not a wind-up it’s great to hear the delight in their voice.”
