Advance orders are already flooding in for Cab Direct’s latest low cost wheelchair accessible taxi – and it’s easy to see why.
The new Ford Journey, based on the popular Tourneo Connect, comes in two fantastic models with a variety of options and features including full wheelchair access.
The Journey is ideal for a variety of taxi work thanks, with space for either four passengers and a large luggage area or two passengers and one wheelchair.
The economical L model comes with features such as ABS and driver airbag as standard while the higher spec LX model offers additional equipment including CD player and air conditioning for even greater comfort.
Cab Direct’s Managing Director Gavin Gillies commented, “We’re always looking for new development opportunities as we strive to provide the taxi trade with a wide variety of wheelchair accessible vehicles. The Ford Tourneo Connect is ideal for this purpose and we’re delighted with the response we had to the new vehicle.”
When you consider the vehicle’s low cost, combined with the type of high quality end product you’d expect from Ford, the Journey will undoubtedly be a very popular vehicle with the UK’s taxi fraternity.
“We’re delighted to have added another high quality vehicle to our extensive range, in response to market demand,” concludes Gillies.
