Cab Direct is proud to have been the headline sponsor for the National Taxi Association Conference in Sunderland. This gathering included dignitaries such as the Mayor of Sunderland and local councillors. There were keynote speakers including Charles Holland QC, noted for his expertise in licensing cases, senior police officers and presentation of the Pixie app, adapted for the taxi trade. The conference included a taxi demo event where attendees could view and have a demonstration of the Ford ProCab™ and Peugeot Premier™.
Cab Direct continues to raise the standard for delivering high quality, wheelchair accessible taxis for reasonable money.
ProCab™ & Premier™ Take Starring Roles
ProCab™ is our new hackney product with many clever features to make life easier for customers, including the EasyGlide™ pull-out ramp and EasySlide™ rear seat. These features make ProCab™ stand out from conversions in the marketplace that don’t have the same customer focused attention to detail. At the event, we showcased stunning examples in Frozen White and Shadow Black which impressed members of the trade who dropped by our display. ProCab™ has a commanding on-road presence and is powered by a 130 PS 2.0 EcoBlue EU6 compliant diesel engine.
Premier™ has been setting the standard for compact, wheelchair accessible taxis over the last few years. It was fitting that the event was held in Sunderland, a city where Premier™ has been a stalwart of the taxi fleet. The ‘RS’ variant that we displayed at the event has air conditioning, cruise control, front electric windows, Bluetooth and CD with MP3 capability. In addition, the clever FlatFold™ ramp allows a smooth transition from five seat cab with great luggage space to full wheelchair accessibility.
Raising The Standard
The NTA is an excellent forum for looking at legislation and competition issues surrounding the industry. At a time when customers are looking at different options to meet their mobility needs, the NTA will continue to be influential for exchanging ideas to move the industry forward. Equally, Cab Direct continues to raise the standard for delivering high quality, wheelchair accessible taxis for reasonable money.
