The Kia Soul was the vehicle that sparked the urban crossover vehicle trend with its distinctive styling, contemporary trim levels and value for money pricing. Now in its second generation, the Soul is available with petrol, diesel and electric power train options. Soul is the ideal alternative to a small saloon or hatchback if you’re a minicab operator looking for something that stands out from the crowd.
Kia Soul Power
The Soul is available with the choice of 130 PS 1.6 GDi petrol and 134 PS 1.6 CRDi diesel engines. The Sport model offers a 1.6 turbocharged petrol engine producing 201 PS, this model comes as standard with a seven-speed twin clutch automatic gearbox. There’s also a zero emission all-electric version available which has a potential range of 155 miles and is currently exempt from road tax. If you’re operating in a city where a Clean Air Zone is coming into force, this version may make perfect sense.
Great Spec Across the Range
There are five different trim levels available, depending on which power train you choose:
1 – The entry-level model in the range offers a great standard specification including air conditioning, electric windows, trip computer, steering wheel controls, DAB radio, Bluetooth® connectivity and body colour detailing.
2 – Combining high specification with low cost, this model is likely to be the most popular choice for many customers. Adding 17″ alloy wheels, cruise control, 7″ infotainment screen and Kia Connected Services with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ to the comprehensive specification of the ‘1’ model grade.
3 – Adding extra luxury, ‘3’ provides leather seats, JBL eight-speaker audio system and front and rear parking sensors.
Sport – The range topping model has a character that reflects the high-performance potential of this model. Featuring unique 18″ alloy wheels, larger disc brakes, twin exhausts, electric front seats, heated outer rear seats and panoramic sunroof, this version is ideal for operators looking for a unique flagship model.
EV 2 – The electric version has its own unique specification. Featuring 8 Inch touchscreen with satellite navigation, dual-zone climate control, reversing camera metallic paint and 16″ lightweight alloy wheels. This model shows that low running costs needn’t mean compromising on luxury.
