Glasgow Tigers received a welcome boost prior to their recent Young Shield playoff match against the Redcar Bears.
Each of the team’s seven riders were presented with a set of tyres by Cab Direct marketing manager Alan Coyle.

Club spokesperson Alan Dick commented: “It’s always a challenge to attract sponsorship and assistance from companies so Cab Direct’s generous gesture is most appreciated.”
Alan continued: “Speedway is an extremely expensive sport so the riders are grateful for any help they can get.”
Pleasure
Cab Direct now employs over 300 people nationwide – many at its manufacturing plant in Glasgow. The company has always been committed to supporting various local teams and community projects but this one had a special attraction for Alan Coyle.
He has followed the Glasgow Tigers home and away for over 25 years so it was a pleasure for him to make the presentation on behalf of the company.
Alan commented: “Watching the Tigers has always been a big part of my life so I’m delighted that we were able to provide the riders with some help for their match against Redcar.”
