Torbay's newest cab company have big plans for the future and anyone who knows directors Steve Goss and Richard Osbourne won't be surprised. 

Go Cabs currently have a mixed fleet of eleven hackney and private hire taxis serving the popular holiday destination. Steve commented, 'We identified a market for a high quality taxi service within the Torbay area. Even though there are other, longer established companies than ourselves around we feel we can offer the people of Torbay something different.'

Steve's partner Richard attended a Cab Direct roadshow in Plymouth after he was told that the Peugeot E7 would be perfect for their business. Steve continued, 'There's a large retired population in the area so the E7's excellent wheelchair access is ideal and this prompted us to buy two. In addition, we've a lot of younger customers who also think the E7 is great. If they are going out in a crowd the chances are they no longer need to call two taxis as they will fit in one E7.'

'Our local authority were extremely supportive when we were getting Go Cabs up and running as they were impressed with what we wanted to achieve. Our office in the town centre provides a safe area for passengers to wait on cabs and we believe that our mixed fleet will serve the public perfectly.'

The tourist industry is buoyant in the area so it's imperative that the transport on offer to the public is of a high standard and the drivers have a vehicle that's up to the job.

Steve added: 'Torbay is quite hilly in parts but the E7 has no problems due to its more powerful engine and we regular pass similar vehicles! Another huge benefit is the fuel economy which even I've been surprised with.'
