Who better to appraise the new vehicle, than a cabbie himself.  We caught up with Colin Stewart, from Edinburgh, who recently took delivery of his new M8™.  He says: “I had the predecessor to this model and I can safely say, if you’re looking for an automatic hackney, the new M8™ is definitely the way to go.  It’s superb.”

Colin continues: “It’s clear the new vehicle has been developed from scratch to best suit the needs of drivers and passengers alike.  The front cabin has been re-designed to offer bags of room.  Finishing touches like the improved internal buttons and the new centre console also make for nicer feel all-round.  The wheelchair ramp has also been redeveloped and makes accessibility really quick and easy.

Plus, in terms of driveability, you can’t beat Mercedes.  The new engine and gearbox make for a really responsive drive.  The addition of cruise control is a real bonus too.”
