Island driver Harry Green’s new business is now up and running – thanks to Cab Direct’s E7 vehicle.
Harry took delivery of the Isle of Bute’s first fully wheelchair-accessible taxi on Friday and is looking forward to being able to cater for the island’s disabled community.
Harry said, “This is a real first for Bute. It shows that the Council appreciate the need for vehicles such as the E7. I’m looking forward to seeing business grow as people become more used to seeing it in and around our ‘capital’ of Rothesay.”
It was the Bus User Group’s own purpose-built vehicle that was recently supplied by Cab Direct that first alerted Harry to the E7.
Cab Direct Chairman Gerry Facenna said “We are delighted that we have been chosen as Bute’s first supplier of fully-wheelchair accessible taxis. We wish Harry all the best with his new venture.”
