Abbey Taxis of Street in Somerset’s commitment to their customers has seen them enjoy continued growth over the past three years.
Abbey currently have a mixed fleet of taxis serving the area including two Peugeot Eurobuses and three Fiat Freedoms, all with wheelchair access and all produced by Cab Direct.
Director Barry Clark commented: “We’re committed to providing a high quality service to our customers and feel that this has been recognised due to the amount of repeat business we get.”
Barry continued: “There are a lot of local people who depend on us so we don’t look at ourselves us just another taxi company but a key part of the community. For example there are a number of regular customers who need a wheelchair accessible taxi to help them get around so without us I’m not sure what they’d do.”
“We’re also from a relatively rural part of the country so you see the same familiar faces on a regular basis and many of our customers can also be considered as friends.”
Barry added: “The overall service we’ve received while dealing with Cab Direct has been excellent. Our local rep, Colin Barton, has been excellent to deal with and always keeps us informed with what is happening right up until delivery.
Cab Direct Managing Director Paul Nelson commented: “We offer a wide range of specialist vehicles to meet the particular needs of taxi operators up and down the country and it’s great to know that Barry has found the vehicles he needs for his growing customer base”.
